Meet Emily

I am an operations leader, strategist, and coach with over 20 years of experience helping organizations and their staff confront their vulnerabilities and build sustainable, scalable solutions. I have held leadership positions as a CEO, Vice President, and Partner. I have led teams of over 200 people, restructured organizations, successfully led large-scale turnaround initiatives, and managed annual budgets of over $25M. I also devised and grew a compensation and career pathways business line that helped school districts redesign pay to remain competitive, retain top talent, and build the capacity of diverse leaders. This difficult and rewarding work has gifted me with both mentor and mentee relationships that cross sectors and perspectives, continually challenging me to remain open and adaptive.

I enjoy drawing on my experience as a proven leader, exceptional manager, and strategic thought partner to assist other leaders in running effective organizations that both achieve their mission and retain high performing staff. Having completed over 100 hours of training with the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), I am now working toward my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I act as a sounding board and challenge clients to help them figure out what is important to them, set ambitious goals, and chart a path to reaching those goals.

I hold a B.A., summa cum laude, in Anthropology from the College of Wooster.

Three core values that guide my life include integrity, contribution, and wellness.

I have lived in the Washington, DC metro area since 2003. I enjoy traveling, hiking, and laughing with friends over a game or a movie. (Fun fact: All of the photos on this website, aside from my head shot, are from my travels and hiking adventures!)
